Born in the Boston suburbs with his Mom, 2 Sisters, brother, and his 3 great Aunts Gert, Ruthie, “Lusty” Lil and his nana, Alma has left him slightly different. I guess shopping at Fabric stores, attending hundreds of ballet recitals and 1st chair bass drummer in his high school marching band have also left him slightly twisted, and yes there is such thing as a 1st chair Bass drummer!
Jay plucks from his childhood, his time living in a condemned house in Venice California and his outlandish imagination to create a fresh original and oddly unique comedic voice. His comedy dares his audience to question reality by exploring the metaphysical and surreal worlds. His strong perspective and Solipsistic view landed Jay at the 2005 Montreal Comedy Festival. Jay’s performance prompted Variety Magazine to note him as one of the top new faces and Time Out New York described him as “a unique voice worth supporting.”
Since Montreal, Jay has performed on The Late Late show with Craig Ferguson twice, Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and AMC’s “Date Night”. He recently finished shooting, the Feature Comedy “Nacho Mountain”, which will be released on 09.
While Stand up will always be a passion of Jay's he has been quite busy writing, creating and developing web content. With short films on Funny or die, Black 20 and Atomfilms Jay is making his presense on the web felt. While continually working on a number of viral projects Jay continues to develop his own television and film projects as well as writing on and punching up network projects.
